Our School District

The Ropes Independent School District was founded in 1921. Consisting of 250 square miles, the district has about 500 students in PK through grade 12.  Excellence in academic scores, as well as UIL competitions, are prized by the school district.  In the past few years, we have won State Championships in Marching Band and UIL Academic Calculator competition.  Students also advanced to State Level Championships in One Act Play, UIL Number Sense, UIL Speaking, UIL Writing, UIL Computer Applications, Boys Track, Girls Track, Future Business Leaders of America, and FFA.  In 2020 we were named one of the Best High Schools in America by U.S. News and World Report. This is the fifth time we've received this award.  We are a growing school district with a heart for kids.
